I started making these collages with stir sticks and other found objects as a way to play and experiment with color combinations in the studio, but it has developed into an ongoing body of work that I enjoy making between murals and more representational work. It’s a fun way to utilize materials that I use in mural making, scenic art, as well as my studio practice, in a way that captures part of the painting process, which is mixing color and creating color schemes.

I love the fluidity of house paint and how the motions of it can be captured in various ways, and then spliced together to create something new.
